How do you measure influence?
Influence is the ability to inspire action, and Kred tells you exactly which Twitter and Facebook activities contribute to your score. Factors we use to calculate your Kred include the number of times you've been mentioned, retweeted or replied. We have a complete scoring guide on our Rules page, and you can view your Activity Statement any time by logging in to Kred.

How is Kred Rewards different from other social offers programs I've seen?
Kred Rewards is fully transparent, so you can see exactly what it takes to get the Reward. Many of our Rewards are not just for registered users and can be unlocked by sharing it with friends. We make every effort to carefully match people with Rewards by focusing on their online communities, location, and the interests and keywords they've talked about publicly on social media.

I'm not eligible for a certain Kred Reward, and I really want that one.
We believe everyone has influence somewhere, which is Rewards are open to anyone. Many of our partners structure their Kred Reward so that If someone doesn't initially qualify, they can ask friends to help them Unlock it.

If I participate, how does Kred use my data?
We never share your private data with our partners - and we don't even have it. The only information we share is publicly visible on Twitter and Facebook.

You said I was eligible for a Kred Reward, but now it's gone.
Rewards are available in limited quantities for a set time period, so receiving a notice that you are eligible does not guarantee you'll get it. (You'll want to let us know quickly if you do!) If you want to see the latest, just visit the Kred Rewards landing page where we will always let you know what Rewards are available, how many are left, and what it takes to get them.

Why was I notified about a Kred Reward that is totally unrelated to my interests?
You may not realize that you are influential in a particular community. Your influence is based partly on the communities where you a member, and also on the communities that interact with you. For example, you may not be a sailor, but if people in the Sailing community frequently interact with you, you may have a high Kred Influence score in that community. If you receive word that you are eligible for a Reward that isn't relevant to you, feel free to pass it to one of your friends that will truly enjoy it - probably one of your sailing buddies!

How do you know where I am?
We use the location information in your public Twitter bio to target Rewards.

When will I receive my Kred Reward? How do you know where to send it?
Once you claim a Reward, we will notify you about the shipping details and ask you for your address.

Isn't giving rewards based on influence just trying to get people to talk about your brand/product?
There is no requirement to tweet about anything to get a Kred Reward. It's completely up to you what you decide to share. The primary purpose of a Kred Reward is to connect you with brands that want to let you know about their latest and greatest!

Don't you think social media should be social and not pay for play?
Absolutely! Kred Rewards is intended to be a fun, simple way for brands to reach people they think will enjoy what they do. No strings attached.

Aren't Kred Rewards just like coupons or ads?
We carefully match people with Rewards that they believe they will genuinely enjoy based on their social media history. Coupons and ads are meant to have wide appeal and usually require spending money to get the benefit.

Aren't you skewing what people say by giving them free stuff?
When you receive a Reward, there is no requirement to say anything about it. Rewards are eligible to people who are influential in communities connected by shared interests. Our partners value and trust their ability to give an honest opinion - or none at all.

Won't programs like this spam the social space?
Kred Rewards are targeted to a small group of people who we think will truly enjoy them. They are not intended to be free samples for huge numbers of people.

Am I required to tweet or blog if I receive a Kred Reward?
No, there is no requirement or action you must take to receive a Reward, other than to be eligible and inform us that you would like it!
